Hello! I look forward to working with you! My doctorate is from Saint Louis University. I also hold a specialist from UMKC, a Masters from Webster and a degree in Biology from the University of Kansas. I've taught PreK - college. Currently I am finishing a Masters in Special Education. I've taught English as a second language, math, science, reading intervention, etc. At the university, I teach teachers. In my free time I spend with my 49 nieces and nephews, teach piano, garden, time with my dogs or my family. I love to learn languages, too. With more than 20 years of experience in English language instruction, Dr. Hamtil has taught and coached educators in literacy development, ESL methodologies, and culturally responsive teaching. She has served as both a classroom teacher and adjunct professor, helping students and teachers strengthen their English proficiency and instructional practice.
